Chinese deploy nuclear bombers amid fears World War 3 could break out
BULLYING China has raised the stakes by dispatching huge jets off the coast of Japan that are able to drop nuclear weapons sparking fears in the West.
The Chinese government has been taunting US ally Japan with war-games off its coast – while delivering a sinister warnings to stay clear or else it will attack.
The communist-run country's navy has been out in force in the South China Sea as part of its bid to colonise a string of islands that its neighbours insist belong to them.
Experts believe the growing crisis could lead to war between China and the US who are both arming themselves to the teeth in preparation for a future world war showdown in the Pacific.
Official Chinese media shows the country's latest stealth warships and H-6K nuclear-capable bombers taking part in the exercise which is bound to inflame tensions already at boiling point.
Its warplanes simulated a bomber attack on a naval task force bearing similarities to the US and Japanese vessels.
Fears are mounting with so much military power being flexed in the region, a clash could soon lead to all-out war.
President Barack Obama's former chief intelligence adviser David Gompert said: “The danger that a mishandled crisis could trigger hostilities cannot be ignored.
“While neither state wants war, both states’ militaries have plans to fight one.”
China, has sent Beijing’s top ambassador in Tokyo had warned Japan to keep out of the disputed area and that China will “not hesitate” in taking military action.
Yet Beijing insisted it was not being aggressive.
An army statement said: “This deep sea exercise is part of annual training arrangements, is not aimed at any specific country, region or target, and accords with international law and practice.”
